Hi everyone,
1. Read Botchan and post your comment by Tuesday, September 29 (not Wednesday this time since you have more than one week to prepare), and respond to your classmates’ discussion questions by Thursday, October 1.
2. I will post the list of short stories in the forum tomorrow by noon. Go to “Final Project” and simply enter your name under the story you pick. If you see “(2)” after the title, it means that two people can work as a pair together (each essay must be separately written and submitted by each person, but you will have a presentation together). It’s first come, first served. If you work as a pair, I will let you exchange your contact information in the next class on October 2.
3. Once you select your story, start working on the first essay. Please read the syllabus carefully about what you need to write. Since I still cannot use Blackboard, please send me your Word document by e-mail (takeshu007@me.com). The deadline is October 2.
I really enjoy reading your comments in the forum every week. You are doing a wonderful job!
